Alternative to Raindrop.io
Visual bookmarks with permanent archival depth.
Every bookmark preserved in full fidelity.
Raindrop.io offers beautiful visual bookmarking with collections and collaboration, but it doesn't permanently archive the pages you save — bookmarks are just links that can break over time. Backdrop captures every page in four formats, stores them permanently, and adds full-text search and annotations so your bookmarks are backed by real content.
Why users leave Raindrop.io
Primarily a visual bookmarking tool — no permanent page archiving.
No multi-format capture — saves a screenshot preview, not the full page.
No full-text search across page content.
No annotations or highlighting capabilities.
Free tier limits collections and bookmark count.
